Mr. Kallestad is a former Schlumberger Anadrill field engineer. His E&P expertise includes logging while drilling, directional drilling, reservoir engineering, and resource economics. Additionally, Mr. Kallestad has founded and exited two startups. As an Advisor to Novamera, Mr. Kallestad helps with corporate development and associated technology transfer considerations involved with applying E&P drilling and evaluation techniques to the mining industry. Mr. Kallestad has a degree in environmental studies from UC Santa Barbara, a petroleum engineering diploma from Heriot Watt University, and an MBA from UC Berkeley.
Dr. François Robert is a well-known global expert in the geology of gold deposits, with 35 years of first-hand experience on deposits and districts across 5 continents. He has published numerous scientific papers, served as president of the Society of Economic Geologists, and led the exploration arm of the Canada Mining Innovation Council. He has received several national and international awards for his contributions. Dr. Robert holds a PhD in economic geology, followed by 13 years as a gold specialist at the Geological Survey of Canada, and 19 years at Barrick Gold Corporation, where he became VP and Chief Geologist – Global Exploration. He now acts as a part-time consultant to the Minerals Industry.
